Desperate times call for desperate measures. Which is why I converted half of my garage into a make-shift massage studio…
I started PRISM because I believe that every body deserves healing and brightness and peace and wholeness. For months I’ve watched my community slowly weather and wear down; that’s what isolation will do to us. I cannot watch any longer. Continue reading below to learn about what PRISM is doing to ensure your safety, and to help restore a little sanity.
What you need to know:
- I am offering 30 and 60 min massages for a flat rate of $45 and $80 respectively. I have created a massage sequence that will best serve you during these times. First, clients will spend most or all of their time face-up. I can still access back and shoulder muscles, don’t worry ; ) But masks & face rests are tricky—doable, but tricky. Second, we will spend time on your chief complaint and honor whatever we can in our time. And lastly—lymphatics, to support your immune system. The deeply calming, slow, and intention strokes of lymphatic drainage therapy not only stimulate immune cells, they help induce parasympathetic responses, the system that helps restore the nervous system to center. As always, I am here to serve the client so if none of that sounds appealing or you have something else in mind I’d love to support you in any way possible!
- I am accepting two clients a day, hours apart, to allow for proper sanitization. Limiting massage duration to twenty minutes both for client comfort (masks and massage are hard), and to limit exposure time out and about.
- Please come wearing a mask. Both the therapist and client will be masked at all times.
- All my forms are electronic, as is payment. Please visit my FORMS page to get started.
- Please be ready to have your temperature taken and answer several COVID-related health questions upon arrival.
- Essential workers (MDs, RNs, NPs, PAs, everyone in hospitals, grocery store clerks, Target and Amazon employees, postal service, etc.) receive $10 off the first session.
A special note to COVID-19 survivors:
Hey there. First of all, super glad you’re here. And your first session is on the house. Second, how are you doing? I think I may understand how you may be feeling, which is why I feel uniquely able to help. I’m a two-time cancer survivor, and a bone marrow transplant nine years ago nearly killed me. Please read this article if you want (https://www.healthline.com/ health-news/what-we-know- about-the-long-term-effects- of-covid-19) and know that I can help with each one of the scary and hard side affects.
- Visceral, lymphatic, and myofascial massage therapy helped break up the scar tissue in my lungs and chest cavity after my bone marrow transplant and cytokine storm. Were you coughing a lot? Do you still have trouble breathing? Tightness and pain throughout body? IV lines? We can support the organs and structures affected and relieve symptoms. This work changed my body and my life.
- What you experienced was real, and it still is. You may not have the ability to form thoughts or words about what you survived, that is normal. Medical trauma can feel isolating—I understand. And I am here for you, in whatever capacity you want & need.
- Please bring along either a written or verbal “okay” from your doctor to receive treatment,
